Hudson Street Gallery Opens!!!

The August Moon Festival was held in Chinatown yesterday (August 17th, 2008) and the Hudson Street Gallery opened its doors to the general public to an impressive showing. Along with four local photographers, the Asian Community Develop Corporation exhibited poster-boards of the history of Hudson Street.

The four local photographers, myself, along with Brian Matiash, Jason Liu, and Jason Sundram all were present and the general atmoshpere in Chinatown was fantastic!

My prints were a set of 4 neighborhood shots of Chinatown. All photos we processed the same and shot with a similar style, generic in landscape, but without cars or people to convey a sense of emptiness ready to be filled. Here they are -

winsor dim sum

korea house

big fish seafood

sunshine travel

Feel free to contact me or the gallery for any questions about the prints or openings...

Thanks,
Lee

Hudson Street Gallery Friday night Prep...

Friday August 15th was prep day for the Hudson Street Gallery, which me and three good photo friends are showing photos in for the latter half of August and part of September. Here is a quick video of about an hour and a half of work. All photos shot with Nikon D300 at intervals of 10 seconds for about 90 minutes. I'm in the yellow shirt (that my mother bought me at "Flatbreads" in Portland, ME).

morning commute

Here's a short video of my morning commute. I strapped my camera on my bicycle and took a photo every second for the entire commute - about 13 minutes (892 photos). Enjoy -
